Biotin-Chondroitin Sulfate-Fluorescein
Properties
Chondroitin sulfate chains are unbranched  polysaccharides containing two alternating monosaccharides:  D-glucuronic acid  (GlcA) and  N-acetyl-D-galactosamine (GalNAc).  Chondroitin sulfate from terrestrial animals is almost exclusively composed of non-sulfated (O) and monosulfated (A and C) units, while in marine species the proportion of disulfated (D and E) units is higher. Chondroitin sulfate A is sulfated at carbon 4 of the N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) sugar, also called chondroitin-4-sulfate Â
Chondroitin sulfate is highly  soluble  in  water.
